LMR Yojimbo 634S

LMR Yojimbo 634S was the sale topper at the First Lone Mountain Production Sale, selling for $35,000. He is currently ORIgen’s top selling Wagyu sire.

Yojimbo has outstanding pedigree credentials: on the sire side, Fukutsuru 068 (#1 Marbling Sire in US Wagyu Sire Summary), and on the dam side, Yasufuku J930, whose name appeared in the pedigrees of all three winners and three runners-up in the 2001 All-Japan Wagyu Contest. Yojimbo’s dam, BR Ms Yasufuku 0609, is one of Lone Mountain’s top donors – producing 21 calves – and was sired by Yasufuku Jr who has proven excellence as a dam sire in the Lone Mountain herd. “In the 2017 LMCC Sire Performance Study, Yasufuku Jr is the 2nd highest ranked dam sire for IMF%, with an average 34.08% based on 36 actual carcass images, and 1st for Marbling Fineness (32.48). In addition, Yasufuku Jr is the highest ranked Sire for IMF% (32.74% based on 36 carcasses.)

Yojimbo’s own carcass progeny have consistently performed well. In the 2017 LMCC Sire Performance Study, Yojimbo is the #5 Sire for IMF% (30.68% IMF based on 20 images), and 4th for Marble Fineness (30.73).

LMR Yojimbo 634S BREEDPLAN figures show him in the top 5% for both Ribeye EBV (+3.5) and Rump Fat EBV (+2.3).

Yojimbo was euthanized in April 2016 due to cancer. He graded a Frame Score of 5 before his death. An example of Yojimbo’s prowess as a sire is pictured above (8155U).
